Lubbock

Panhandle's largest city

Lubbock is a city in northwestern Texas, the largest on the Texas South Plains.

It serves as a regional hub for agriculture—particularly cotton—and is home to Texas Tech University.

Buddy Holly was born there, giving rise to Lubbock's nickname "Hub City" and its association with early rock and roll.

We drove through Lubbock on the way to Amarillo.
