Life of Brian
Messiah satire film
Life of Brian is a 1979 comedy film by Monty Python, following a Jewish man in ancient Judea who is repeatedly mistaken for the Messiah.
The title serves as shorthand for religious satire or for absurdist humor about unearned devotion: The whole controversy turned into a Life of Brian situation, with people worshipping someone who kept insisting he wasn't special.
