Kenmore

Washing machine maker

Kenmore is a brand of home appliances—refrigerators, washing machines, vacuum cleaners—sold exclusively through Sears for most of its history.

The name became nearly synonymous with reliable, mid-priced American appliances: The Kenmore in my parents' basement ran for thirty years.

Following Sears's decline, the brand has been licensed to other retailers.
