bottom freezer
Refrigerator's cold basement
A bottom freezer is a refrigerator design with the freezer compartment located below the fresh food section rather than above it.
This arrangement puts frequently accessed items at eye level, reducing bending for everyday use: We switched to a bottom freezer and love having the fridge at counter height.
Most bottom freezers feature pull-out drawer designs.
