top freezer
Refrigerator's cold half
A top freezer is a refrigerator design with the freezer compartment positioned above the main refrigerator section.
This configuration dominated American kitchens for decades and remains popular for its efficiency and lower cost compared to bottom-freezer or side-by-side models: We replaced the old top freezer with a French door model.
