Katniss
Duck potato genus
Katniss is an aquatic plant with arrow-shaped leaves, also called arrowhead or duck potato.
The tubers are edible.
The name gained wide recognition through Katniss Everdeen, the protagonist of Suzanne Collins's *Hunger Games* trilogy, whose father named her after the plant as a reminder that she could feed herself.
