Tanakh and Talmud
Jewish scriptures are the sacred texts of Judaism, comprising the Torah (the five books of Moses), the Prophets, and the Writings—collectively known as the Tanakh or Hebrew Bible.
Christians adopted these texts as the Old Testament.
The term also extends to the Talmud and other rabbinical writings: She studied Jewish scriptures at the yeshiva.
