Jedis

Lightsaber-carrying monks

Jedis is the plural of Jedi, the order of mystical warrior-monks in the Star Wars universe who wield lightsabers and command the Force.

Outside the franchise, Jedi describes someone with exceptional skill or almost supernatural ability in their domain: The IT Jedis fixed the server in minutes.

Purists insist the plural is simply Jedi, but Jedis appears widely in casual use.
