IMAX 3D
Giant stereoscopic screen
IMAX 3D is a premium film format combining the large-screen IMAX projection system with stereoscopic 3D technology.
Viewers wear special glasses that create the illusion of depth, making images appear to extend into and out of the screen.
The format is marketed for blockbuster films, especially action and nature documentaries: We saw the new Marvel movie in IMAX 3D.
