Hewlett-Packard

Silicon Valley pioneer

Hewlett-Packard is an American technology company founded in 1939, one of the original Silicon Valley enterprises.

Long known for computers, printers, and scientific instruments, HP (as it's commonly called) split in 2015 into HP Inc. (personal computers and printers) and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (business technology).

The company's Palo Alto garage is considered the birthplace of Silicon Valley.
