Hebrew script
Torah's written form
Hebrew script is the writing system used for Hebrew and several other languages including Yiddish and Ladino.
It runs right to left and consists of 22 consonant letters; vowels are optionally indicated by diacritical marks called niqqud.
The script has remained largely unchanged for over two thousand years, appearing in religious texts, modern Israeli signage, and Jewish ceremonial objects alike.
