Greek heroes
Ancient legendary warriors
Greek heroes are the legendary figures of ancient Greek mythology—mortals or demigods who performed extraordinary feats, often with divine ancestry or favor.
Heracles, Achilles, Odysseus, and Perseus are archetypal examples.
The term extends to anyone displaying exceptional courage or virtue in the classical mold: He fancied himself a Greek hero, destined for glory.
