Goodyear blimp

A Goodyear blimp is one of the airships operated by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, used for advertising and aerial television coverage at major sporting events.

The slow-moving blimps with their illuminated signs have become fixtures at American football games and golf tournaments.

By extension, any large blimp may be called a Goodyear blimp regardless of operator, and the term sometimes appears as an unkind comparison for someone overweight.
