G-suit
Pilot's pressure wear
A G-suit is a flight garment worn by pilots and astronauts that inflates to compress the legs and abdomen during high-acceleration maneuvers.
The pressure prevents blood from pooling in the lower body, which would otherwise cause blackout.
The G refers to gravitational force—the suit counters the effects of pulling multiple Gs in tight turns or rapid climbs.
