Fortunate Son
Privileged male offspring
"Fortunate Son" is a 1969 Creedence Clearwater Revival song protesting class privilege during the Vietnam War—how wealthy and connected young men avoided the draft while working-class men were sent to fight.
The phrase has become shorthand for someone born into advantage who escapes hardships others must face: He's a fortunate son who's never had to struggle for anything.
