Eraserhead

Industrial body horror

Eraserhead is a 1977 surrealist horror film written and directed by David Lynch, his feature debut.

The black-and-white film follows a man caring for his grotesque, constantly crying infant in a bleak industrial landscape, and has become a touchstone of midnight movie culture and body horror.

As an adjective or reference point, Eraserhead describes anything with similarly nightmarish, inexplicable imagery: The abandoned factory had an Eraserhead quality to it.
