Easter date
Spring religious holiday
Easter date refers to the calendar day on which Easter falls in a given year.
Unlike fixed holidays, Easter moves annually because it follows a lunar calculation: the first Sunday after the first full moon on or after the spring equinox.
This makes determining the Easter date a matter of astronomical and ecclesiastical rules rather than a simple calendar lookup.
Western and Eastern Orthodox churches often celebrate on different dates due to different calendar systems.
