DVR recording
Time-shifted television capture
A DVR recording is video content captured and stored by a digital video recorder, typically from broadcast or cable television.
The device saves programs to a hard drive for later viewing, allowing users to pause, rewind, and skip commercials: I'll watch my DVR recording of the game tomorrow.
The term distinguishes recorded content from live broadcasts or streaming.
