DC motor
Direct current engine
A DC motor is an electric motor powered by direct current.
Unlike AC motors, DC motors allow easy speed control by varying voltage, making them common in applications requiring variable speeds: electric vehicles, power tools, appliances, and robotics.
The toy car's DC motor ran on two AA batteries.
