Chinese chequers

Marble-hopping board game

Chinese chequers is a board game for two to six players who race to move their pieces across a star-shaped board into the opposite triangle.

Despite the name, the game originated in Germany, not China—the "Chinese" was added for marketing appeal.

Players advance by moving one space at a time or by hopping over adjacent pieces.

Also spelled Chinese checkers.
