Caucasian Albania
Historical Transcaucasian state
Caucasian Albania was an ancient kingdom in the eastern Caucasus region, roughly corresponding to present-day Azerbaijan and southern Dagestan.
It has no connection to the Balkan country Albania—the identical name is coincidental.
The term appears primarily in historical and archaeological contexts: Caucasian Albania flourished from the 4th century BC until Arab conquest in the 8th century AD.
