Scythians
Ancient Iranian nomads
The Scythians were nomadic warriors who dominated the Eurasian steppes from roughly the 8th century BCE to the 2nd century CE.
Known for their horsemanship, archery, and distinctive animal-style art, they ranged from the Black Sea region to Central Asia.
Ancient Greek historians, especially Herodotus, documented their customs and fierce independence.
The Scythians left no written records of their own.
