CPT symmetry
Physics' triple reversal
CPT symmetry is a fundamental principle in physics stating that the laws of nature remain unchanged if three transformations are applied simultaneously: charge conjugation (replacing particles with antiparticles), parity (mirror reflection), and time reversal (running time backward).
While individual symmetries can be violated, CPT symmetry appears to hold universally—no experiment has ever detected a violation.
