Broadway shows
Manhattan stage productions
Broadway shows are theatrical productions staged in the large professional theaters of New York City's Broadway district.
The term suggests big-budget musicals and plays with elaborate staging, professional casts, and high ticket prices: We saw three Broadway shows on our trip to New York.
Off-Broadway and off-off-Broadway refer to smaller, less commercial productions.
