championship games
Season's ultimate contests
Championship games are contests that determine a champion—the ultimate winner of a league, tournament, or season.
The phrase appears most often in American sports, where it typically refers to the final game or series deciding a title: The championship game drew record viewership.
In leagues with conference structures, championship games may determine division winners before a final championship.
