encore performance
Crowd-requested repeat show
An encore performance is an additional performance given in response to audience demand, typically at the end of a concert or show.
The term also applies to any repeat appearance or achievement: After his championship season, fans hoped for an encore performance.
In practice, many encores are planned rather than spontaneous, making the "demand" partly theatrical convention.
