Beetles

British invasion rockers

Beetles are insects of the order Coleoptera, distinguished by their hardened forewings that form protective covers over their flight wings.

They constitute the largest order of insects, with species ranging from tiny grain pests to the massive rhinoceros beetle.

The word also names the iconic British rock band, spelled Beatles, whose name puns on the musical term "beat." To beetle is to scurry or move quickly, and beetling brows are prominent ones that jut forward like a beetle's shell.
