Fab Four

British Invasion leaders

Fab Four is a nickname for the Beatles, the British rock band that dominated popular music in the 1960s.

The name combines "fab"—British slang for fabulous, fashionable during that era—with the number of band members: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr.

The term occasionally applies to other celebrated quartets: The Fab Four of women's tennis.
