Bedouin tents
Nomadic desert shelters
Bedouin tents are the portable dwellings traditionally used by nomadic Arab peoples of the desert.
Made from woven goat or camel hair stretched over poles, these black tents can be expanded or contracted by adjusting the fabric panels, adapting to family size and weather.
The design allows air circulation while providing shade from intense sun: The Bedouin tent appeared as a dark smudge against the sand.
