-ette
Makes things smaller
A suffix forming nouns that indicate something smaller or diminutive: kitchenette, novelette, statuette.
It also forms feminine versions of nouns: usherette, suffragette—though many such terms have fallen out of favor as unnecessarily gendered.
The suffix can suggest imitation or substitution: leatherette, flannelette.
