waster

One who squanders

A waster is someone who squanders time, money, or resources—or simply accomplishes nothing: He's a complete waster, just sits around playing video games all day.

The term is common in British and Irish English as a dismissive insult for an idle or useless person.

Waster also has a technical sense: a defective manufactured item rejected during production.
