A procrastinator is someone who habitually delays or postpones tasks, especially ones that require immediate attention.
The word carries a mildly self-deprecating tone when used about oneself: I'm such a procrastinator—I always wait until the last minute.
Unlike someone who is merely lazy, a procrastinator often intends to act but keeps deferring.
