warrior caste
Hereditary soldier group
A warrior caste is a hereditary social class whose members are designated fighters and military leaders.
The concept appears in various stratified societies—most famously India's Kshatriya caste, but also samurai in feudal Japan.
The term extends to any group defined by martial identity passed through generations: The military families formed a warrior caste of their own.
