wall-eyed
Gaze pointing sideways
Wall-eyed describes eyes that diverge outward, showing an unusual amount of white—the opposite of cross-eyed.
The condition gives a startled or unfocused appearance.
By extension, wall-eyed can mean wild-eyed or staring with shock or alarm: He stood there wall-eyed, unable to process what he'd just seen.
