vesica piscis
Overlapping circles' intersection
A vesica piscis is the almond-shaped figure formed when two circles of equal radius overlap so that the center of each lies on the circumference of the other.
The shape appears throughout sacred geometry, medieval art, and church architecture, often framing Christ or the Virgin Mary in religious iconography.
The Latin means "bladder of a fish."
