vermicomposting
Earthworm waste processing
Vermicomposting is composting with worms—using earthworms to break down organic waste into nutrient-rich soil.
The worms consume kitchen scraps and produce castings (worm excrement) prized as fertilizer.
Unlike traditional composting, vermicomposting happens in enclosed bins and works well indoors: We started vermicomposting to reduce food waste.
