veiltail
Ornamental aquarium fish
Veiltail describes a variety of ornamental fish bred for long, flowing fins that drape like a veil.
Most commonly applied to goldfish, the term also extends to bettas and other aquarium species.
The delicate, trailing finnage makes veiltails prized by hobbyists but fragile—prone to damage and slower swimmers than short-finned varieties.
