TIFF
High-fidelity image format
TIFF stands for Tagged Image File Format, a standard for storing high-quality digital images.
Unlike compressed formats like JPEG, TIFF files preserve full image data without loss, making them preferred for professional photography, printing, and archival purposes: Save the original as a TIFF before editing. (Lowercase tiff is a minor quarrel.)
