vas
Body fluid conduit
A vas is a vessel or duct in the body, particularly one that carries fluid.
The term appears almost exclusively in anatomical compounds: the vas deferens carries sperm from the testicle, and a vasectomy severs it for sterilization.
Outside medical contexts, the word is rarely encountered.
