upstander
One who acts
An upstander is someone who speaks up or takes action against wrongdoing, especially bullying or injustice—contrasted with a bystander who merely observes.
The term emerged in anti-bullying education to encourage intervention: We teach kids to be upstanders, not bystanders.
It emphasizes active moral courage over passive witnessing.
