speak up
Raise your voice
Speak up means to raise one's voice so as to be heard more clearly: Could you speak up? I can't hear you from back here.
It also means to express one's opinion, especially when doing so requires courage or initiative: If you disagree with the policy, you need to speak up.
The second sense implies overcoming reluctance or fear of consequences.
