ungagged
Allowed to speak
Ungagged means freed from a gag or, more commonly, freed from restrictions on speech.
A literal gag prevents someone from speaking; to ungag is to remove it.
The figurative sense dominates: The court ruling ungagged the witness, allowing her to speak publicly.
Someone ungagged has been released from a silencing order or censorship.
