underthinking

Not pondering enough

Underthinking is failing to give something adequate consideration—the opposite of overthinking.

Where overthinking involves excessive analysis, underthinking means acting or deciding too quickly without weighing consequences: The project failed because of underthinking at the planning stage.

The word often appears in self-help contexts as a counterpoint to anxiety-driven rumination.
