Tupperware is plastic food storage containers with tight-fitting lids, originally a brand name that became generic.
The word often applies to any such containers regardless of manufacturer: I need some tupperware for these leftovers.
A tupperware party is a home sales gathering where the products are demonstrated and sold. (Capitalized Tupperware is the trademark.)
