Tupperware lady
Plastic bowl representative
A Tupperware lady is a woman who sells Tupperware plastic containers, typically through home parties where she demonstrates products to friends and neighbors.
The term evokes mid-twentieth-century suburban domesticity and direct-sales culture: My mom was a Tupperware lady in the seventies.
By extension, it can describe any woman involved in similar party-plan sales schemes.
