tubectomy
Permanent female contraception
Tubectomy is the surgical removal or severing of the fallopian tubes, performed as a method of permanent female sterilization.
The procedure prevents eggs from reaching the uterus, making pregnancy impossible.
Also called tubal ligation or, colloquially, getting your tubes tied.
