transship

Move between vessels

To transship is to transfer cargo from one vessel or vehicle to another during transit, rather than shipping directly from origin to destination.

Goods might be transshipped at a port where they move from a large container ship to smaller vessels for final delivery: The containers were transshipped in Singapore.
