tract home

Cookie-cutter dwelling

A tract home is a house built as part of a large residential development where many similar or identical houses are constructed at once.

The term comes from tract meaning a parcel of land.

Tract homes are typically affordable but architecturally uniform, often used dismissively to suggest cookie-cutter sameness: endless rows of tract homes with identical lawns.
