Top of mind describes whatever is most prominent in someone's thoughts at a given moment.
In marketing, it refers to the first brand consumers think of in a product category: Coca-Cola stays top of mind for soft drinks.
More generally, something top of mind is what you're currently focused on or concerned about: Climate change is top of mind for young voters.
Often hyphenated as an adjective: top-of-mind awareness.
