top-out
Reach the maximum
Top-out means to reach the highest point or maximum level.
In climbing, to top out is to complete a route by reaching the summit: We topped out just before sunset.
In construction, topping out marks when a building reaches its full height.
More broadly, anything that hits its ceiling tops out: Interest rates topped out at 8 percent.
My salary topped out years ago.
